Honolulu’s favorite party under the stars is back for another unforgettable evening! La Pietra – Hawai‘i School for Girls proudly announces the return of Sunset Jazz on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
This year’s theme, “Let’s Hear it for the Girls,” sets the tone for a vibrant evening celebrating community and the power of women in the arts. After last year’s spectacular comeback, the school is thrilled to carry this beloved tradition forward—welcoming the community back to its Great Lawn for an evening of live music.
An exciting lineup of top local musicians and vocalists will take the stage, including Ginai, Jeanette Trevias and Friends featuring Riya Davis, Sandy Tsukiyama and Arara de Vento, Mary Gutzi, and more. Event founder and award-winning performer Shari Lynn will also return to the stage, adding her signature sparkle. Guests can look forward to an eclectic mix of jazz standards, lively salsa, soulful ballads, and Broadway favorites.
“In addition to the gentlemen who always give us great musical support, this year's entertainment will also feature women-led bands,” says Lynn, La Pietra’s former Music Director who served the school for 23 years. “It’s a joy to stand alongside so many incredible artists and to continue celebrating music’s power to bring people together in support of La Pietra.”
Guests are invited to enjoy the show picnic-style on La Pietra’s Great Lawn, set against the stunning backdrop of Lēʻahi (Diamond Head). Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and music begins at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $85 and include a glass of wine and a dessert sampler. Guests are welcome to bring their own additional picnic fare.
