Facility Rentals

Located on the former Dillingham Estate, nestled at the foot of Diamond Head, La Pietra is a secluded but conveniently located venue for your special event. The campus boasts architecture reminiscent of an Italian villa, providing a picturesque backdrop for all your special memories. We are pleased to be able to offer our outdoor venues for private event rental. These include the Great Lawn (up to 300 guests), Fountain Courtyard (up to 150 guests), Julia Brown Courtyard (up to 150 guests) and on-site parking areas (up to 150 vehicles). We have a modest kitchen space with refrigeration and counter space for food preparation.

Our general pricing documents are posted for your review. Key requirements are noted here; detailed information is included in our policies.

  • Noise level must be diminished by 9:00pm.
  • All guests and vendors must be cleaned up and off campus by 10:30pm at the latest.
  • All setup and teardown must occur within the rental period.
  • Events with over 50 cars must contract a professional valet service.
  • Procurement of a professional event planner, liability insurance, and off-duty police officer(s) are required for all events

School year 19-20 facility use rates are based on guest count and rental time (including set up and breakdown). Final payment of campus use fees are due in full two weeks prior to your event.

Rates posted are for events booked between August 2019 and July 2020. Rates are reviewed annually.

SECURITY DEPOSIT: A security deposit is required (along with a signed contract) to book your date. Due to the high demand for rentals, and to be fair to all parties requesting dates, we do not hold dates. Events up to 4 hours require a $1,000 deposit; events over 4 hours require a $2,000 deposit at the time of booking. Deposits are NOT refunded for cancellation.


Book an Event

Dates are released by academic year as we plan around school-related events one year at a time. Remaining available rental dates for the school year 2019-2020 are:
  • (2019) November 2, November 23
  • (2020) All dates through July 2020 are booked at this time.
  • Available rental dates for August 2020 to July 2021 will be available by the end of March of 2020. Please email Dawn Ijiri at dijiri@lapietra.edu to be placed on the waitlist for future bookings.

    Once you have decided on a date and are ready to proceed with booking, you will need a signed agreement and security deposit to hold your date.

    Wedding Photo Shoots

    To book a wedding photo shoot at La Pietra, contact Dawn Ijiri at 808-922-2744 or dijiri@lapietra.edu to check availability. Photo sessions are 90 minutes and require prepayment to book the session.
