La Pietra Opens Campus to Provide Educational Support to Maui Students Displaced by Wildfires

(HONOLULU, HI – August 11, 2023) In response to the destructive wildfires that have affected our neighbors on Maui, La Pietra – Hawai‘i School for Girls is offering educational assistance and support to displaced, female students and families.
La Pietra is opening its campus, located near Kapiolani Park and the Honolulu Zoo, to offer a nurturing environment for young women in grades 6-12 affected by the recent Maui wildfires to continue their education.
“Our thoughts are with the many families and their communities impacted by this devastating tragedy,” said Head of School Jennifer Grems. “Our goal is to provide education and stability to those uprooted by this natural disaster.”
La Pietra – Hawaii School for Girls will be able to provide: breakfast and lunch, school supplies, student laptops, access to curriculum and instruction, and social-emotional support.
