DR. KAINOA HARBOTTLE

Dr. Harbottle is a substitute English teacher this term at La Pietra, and he's already made a big impact on students.

"One day in English I was very stressed out, and I think he could tell by the way I was acting and what I was saying," one student said. "He came over and told me it's okay to ask for help and that it's okay to be stressed. I would wanna thank him for always listening to me."

Ms. Tuss is a PE and dance teacher at La Pietra. Sophomore Izzy S. says Ms. Tuss helped her get through a challenging dance technique this term, and cheered her on throughout the entire process.

"I just could not do it, but Ms. Tuss kept walking me through it. When I finally kind of got it, she was cheering me on and it felt nice to be noticed," Izzy says. "I love how upbeat and supportive she is. She just sends a really nice, positive energy to be around, so I always look forward to her class.”

MS. sam wiseman

Ms. Wiseman is a social studies and psychology teacher at La Pietra. Several students wrote in to thank her for always being there to offer extra help, even during time outside of class.

"During a difficult assignment, she donated her time and effort to let us stay in her classroom to give us one-on-one help," said freshman Kailani E. "This helped our class push through our own obstacles."
