Hawai‘i School for Girls at La Pietra Reveals New Brand Identity & Vision 2035
Head of School Jennifer Grems shares details about the school's new strategic plan.
Hawai‘i School for Girls at La Pietra, formerly known as La Pietra – Hawai‘i School for Girls, has announced the launch of Vision 2035, the school’s strategic plan, alongside a refreshed brand identity. Together, the vision and new brand reflect both a return to the school’s foundation and a bold step forward as it continues to educate young women in Hawai‘i to lead lives of purpose.
The new name preserves La Pietra, acknowledging the legacy, history, and personal meaning it holds for students, while also honoring its founding name, Hawai‘i School for Girls, reaffirming the values and sense of purpose that have defined the institution since 1964.
The new logomark serves as a visual expression of Vision 2035, featuring the image of Lēʻahi as seen through the campus archways, reflecting confidence and a deep connection to place.
Vision 2035 emerged from a community-driven strategic planning process conducted during the 2023-2024 academic year. It outlines a long-term roadmap focused on strengthening the school’s local and global identity, cultivating world-class experiential learning opportunities for young women, and ensuring a sustainable and forward-looking model for leadership and growth.
“We have always been Hawai‘i School for Girls. Our identity needed to reflect not only where we are going, but who we have always been,” said Head of School Jennifer Grems. “Vision 2035 invited us to be both reflective and bold – honoring what has shaped us while thoughtfully preparing us for what lies ahead.”
