La Pietra Celebrates National Rescue Dog Day

May 20th, 2022

Say aloha to Ms. Alex King's dog, Cali!

Every year, National Rescue Dog Day is observed on May 20 to help raise awareness of the many dogs left behind in shelters who deserve another chance to find their forever homes. It's no surprise that the members of our La Pietra community have such big hearts, and many of our families have opened up their homes to adopt and rescue some furry friends, changing their lives forever.

Today, we want to celebrate the recuse dogs in our community and share the happy lives they're now living with loving families!

Best Friends National Adoption Weekend

The Hawaiian Humane Society's Best Friends National Adoption Weekend is taking place May 20 – 22, 2022! Starting that Friday, all adoption fees are waived on older cats, dogs and all small animals. See all available animals here and find your perfect match!

This national adoption event brings together animal welfare organizations, like the Hawaiian Humane Society, across the country to help us all save more lives by connecting adoptable animals with their future families.
