Message From Head of School
Aloha! Thank you for visiting the online home of La Pietra - Hawaii School for Girls. We invite you to explore our site and learn about the details of La Pietra’s educational programs, co-curricular opportunities, and the uniqueness of our learning environment that addresses the ways girls learn best.
For over fifty years, we have been educating young women to lead a life of achievement. Established in 1964, we continue to be a school where girls in grades 6 through 12 flourish in a supportive community that values each girl’s individual journey to a life of passion, confidence, and success. All La Pietra students graduate ready for college and have the foundation of skills and character that will serve them well throughout their lives. Our alumnae can be found throughout the globe, in all walks of life. They can often be identified by their willingness to go about the hard work of making the world a better place without being encumbered by restrictive traditions. Our pride in our alumnae is matched by the care we take with each girl who is entrusted to us.
Located on the slopes of Diamond Head, the beauty of our school’s campus provides a stunning backdrop for a learning environment tailored to the needs of girls. We are proud of our educational program that instills confidence and curiosity as girls shape their identities and realize their full potential. From the small classes allowing for individual attention, to our research-based block schedule, to our curriculum that has a depth and breadth normally found in much larger schools, we are confident that you will see here the education your daughter deserves!
We encourage you to explore our website thoroughly. It is a great source of information about our school. However, there is no better way to learn what we can do for your daughter than to contact us. Not only can we answer questions you may have, but we can show you in person all the ways we work to advance the education of girls. Please contact us at (808) 922-2744 for any questions or to schedule a visit.
