Parents

Schools and their students thrive when parents are an involved part of the campus community.

We respect this partnership immensely, and encourage parents to take active roles in supporting their daughter’s journey through their years here. At La Pietra, this is particularly true, since we believe that an excellent educational experience requires a strong partnership between school and home.

The La Pietra Parent Faculty Association (PFA) provides the vital link between school and family and its role in building the community of the school is invaluable.  The PFA welcomes volunteer support from parents at all grade levels and sponsors activities that support both curricular and non-curricular programs.

New parents are welcomed through New Student Orientation, school publications, special events, athletic events, and monthly PFA informational emails. New parents also attend the Newcomers’ and Seniors’ Tea early in the fall to meet administrators, teachers, other new parents and their daughters, and parents of graduating seniors.

PFA FunRaiser

"FUNraiser" is a collaborative effort between PFA and the student body. "FUNraiser" is an afternoon of fun competitive activities for the student body, following Special Guest Day on February 14, 2014.

Students seek sponsorship from family and friends. PFA seeks corporate sponsors. "FUNraiser" is the only PFA fundraising event for the year. Proceeds serve to fund the many PFA hosted events held throughout the school year - Mother & Daughter Celebration, Father & Daughter Celebration, Final Exam Breakfasts, Special Guest Day, Hospitality for Open Houses, and Graduation Reception.

A portion of all the funds raised by each grade level goes back to their Class Fund, for graduation, prom, and 8th grade banquet.

We value everyones support in making this a successful event!
