On Tuesday, February 14, seven La Pietra students were inducted into the National Honor Society. Congratulations to the following students:

Seniors: Bobbijo Katagiri and Johanna Ward
Juniors: Hannah Apa, Nicole Morisugi, and Marina Sewell
Sophomores: Phoebe Fox and Chonsa Schmidt

The new members were inducted after an application process that included evaluations of academic, extracurricular, leadership, and community activities. Each applicant must have a 3.2 or above GPA and have completed at least two advanced or accelerated courses.

La Pietra's National Honor Society, which is advised by Ms. Carole Ota and Mr. Jack Wade, organizes a number of community service projects throughout the year. Members also serve as afterschool tutors for fellow students.
