College Counseling

We believe that leading a life of fulfillment includes an enriching college experience.

In addition to academic preparation, we prepare families and our students for college through a personal and tailored process that focuses on finding the right fit for both the student and her family.

College counseling begins in the junior year with a combination of group and individual guidance. All juniors participate in Junior Seminar, which includes an exploration of the college application process, a narrowing of college choices, and preparation for college entrance exams such as the SAT and ACT. Junior parents also meet with the Academic Dean and College Counselor to discuss the upcoming months of college preparation.

Early in the senior year, families meet individually with the Academic Dean and College Counselor to create a final list of colleges for application and deadlines for submission of necessary information. Most La Pietra students complete their applications in November and begin to receive acceptances and scholarship offers by the end of December.
